Snow Leopard

So far the upgrading has been pretty smooth.

There have been a few little nasties, though.

1. My HP Deskjet 3740 disappeared. No, really. The OS made it invisible. Even the paper was all gone. It came back a little though, when I installed the Ghostscript drivers. Everything was a little faded, not quite on this plane for a while. Now, with updated “official” drivers, I’m back on track. (Use Software Update.)

2. Cyberduck only has a BETA version out. And that was a little wonky the last time I tested it.

3. Hulu Desktop

Apple Remote control functionality is not fully compatible with Desktop on the new OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). We are currently working on a fix.

Other than that, I’ve had a few issues where some code somewhere asks for Rosetta. I guess there were still a few lingering PPC apps on there for some odd reason or other.

Next stop: time to fire up a game. Spore will probably die.

Later.
